Photo a Day July: Day 13 – Sprightly

Alice up a treeAlice is our old lady. She was estimated to be about four years old when we adopted her from the RSPCA (she chose us) so is now about fourteen. She lives at a leisurely pace these days, preferring to wait for the baby gate to be opened for her to walk through rather than jumping over it. Every now and then though she goes a bit nuts. This evening she was dashing around the garden like a loony and pouncing on the balls from Penny’s ball pond. Then she dashed eight foot up a tree in a fraction of a second like she was a kitten. It took her somewhat longer to work out how to get back down again.

Taking this photo was a challenge as the auto focus kept focusing on the leaves in front of her. Once I worked out how I could switch to manual focus it got a bit easier.

About Laura Cooper

I am a mid-thirties first time mum of one. Formerly a secondary school teacher, serial planner and know-it-all . I have learnt that nothing about being a mum is predictable and am now a strong advocate of making it up as you go along.
